Four acceptance agents from the Connecticut Passport Agency will be on hand from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on May 16 at the Darien Library, 1441 Post Rd.
The library will provide all the necessary paperwork, as well as a space for photos, for those seeking new or renewed passports.
Those wishing to complete a passport application are asked to bring their birth or naturalization certificate, a two-inch by two-inch color photo and a valid photo identification (such as a driver’s license) with a front and back photocopy of the ID. Applicants will also need their social security number and a personal check or debit or credit card for any passport or photo fees.
Minors cannot apply for a passport unless accommodated by both parents or guardians. If one parent or guardian is unable to appear in person, then the application must be accompanied by a signed, notarized Form DS-3053: Statement of Consent from the non-applying parent/guardian.
